Timothy John Crommelin Eggar (born 19 December 1951) is a company director, a Governor of Shiplake College, an independent school for boys in the village of Shiplake in Oxfordshire, and is a former British Conservative Member of Parliament.
Eggar is the son of John Eggar and his wife Pamela Crommelin-Brown. His father was a cricketer and schoolmaster at Repton School and Shiplake College.

Eggar was educated at Winchester College, a famous independent school for boys in the city of Winchester in Hampshire, followed by Magdalene College at the University of Cambridge in the city of Cambridge in Cambridgeshire and The College of Law.[1]
Eggar was MP for Enfield North from 1979 until he stood down in 1997. He had served as minister for Trade and Industry, Education and Science, and Employment. He was also Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs.
After leaving Parliament he went to work in the energy industry in the United States. He is Chairman of Harrison Lovegrove & Co Ltd, and Indago Petroleum, a non-executive Director of ExproInternational, and Anglo Asian Mining, and an independent member of a wind development investment committee.[2]
He is currently President of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce.[3] He is also Chairman of Governors at Shiplake College.[4]
